Virsa Singh of Gobind Sadan Is No More

The following press release was issued by Mary Fisher of Gobind Sadan. I had the privilege of spending a week at Gobind Sadan (New Delhi) in April 2006 and hope to publish the results of my visit very soon along with video footage of life at Gobind Sadan, including on-camera interviews with Virsa Singh, his two chief spokespersons (Mary Fisher and Ralph Singh), and others at Gobind Sadan.

Dear friends,

In case you have not yet heard, we want you to know that His Holiness Baba Virsa Singh Ji passed away on 24th December. His body was respectfully cremated at Gobind Sadan on 25th December. The final rites will be held at Gobind Sadan on 6th January, after Maharaj's Akhand Path from 4th January 2 a.m. to 6th January 2 a.m. After morning prayers and breakfast, there will be kirtan and gathering at the assembly ground in Maharaj's honour, with tributes beginning at 1 p.m.

Maharaj's body had not been well for some time. By God's grace, he passed out of it peacefully and now is working very powerfully to propagate his great mission everywhere, through all of us. As he so often said, 'There is one Light, one Love, and one Truth. There is only one eternal message of religion, and it has always come from the same Source. We are all sisters, we are all brothers. Our God is One.'
