About Tarlochan Singh Marwa

After earning a diploma in engineering, Tarlochan taught in the army and worked for The Indian Tube Company Limited (I.T.C., later merged with Tata Steel). Tarlochan's father, Sant Singh Marwa, was honored with the title of Sardar Sahib by the British for his leadership in extending the Indian railway system into Assam. (Equivalent titles for Hindus and Muslims were Rai Sahib and Khan Sahib respectively.)
