Shaleen and Puneet were batchmates at I.I.T., Roorkee (India). Shaleen, a Doon School alumnus, received classical music training from Pt. A.K. Roy of the Maihar gharana. Soon after completing undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at Roorkee, he joined the Delhi-based jazz-fusion band Indian Ocean and was featured as drummer/lyricist on the band's self-titled debut album (1993). His current band, Agosh, which he founded with Roorkee classmate R. Anandh (center-left, above), released their debut album "Paisa" in 2000. R. Anandh also collaborates with Prasad Studios in Chennai (India). Click here to hear "Paisa."
