About Pritam Singh Bhui
Pritam Singh Bhui was born on Apr. 30, 1934 to Gopal Singh and Uttam Kaur in Taran Tarn (Punjab, India) and was educated at the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T., Kharagpur, West Bengal, India).
He recently retired from the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (O.N.G.C., India) as general manager (drilling) and has since been highly sought after as a consultant. Pritam's tranferrable job took the family to all parts of India including Jwalamukhi (Himachal Pradesh), Calcutta, Karaikal (Pondicherry), Nazira (Assam), and Bombay.
Pritam has a knack for recalling jokes, anecdotes, and stories to liven up any gathering. He can speak, read, and write English, Hindi, Punjabi (Gurmukhi), Urdu, and Russian. He married the late Surinder Kaur (nee Marwa) on Nov. 1, 1963 at Jamshedpur (Jharkhand, India).

Gopal and Uttam raised four children (in chronological order):
- Ajit Singh; Offspring: Harjinder Singh, Aridaman Singh, Sudarshan Singh, and Sukhbir Singh
- Ajaib Singh; Offspring: a son, an I.I.T. graduate, and a daughter, an engineer
- Jagdish Kaur; Offspring: Stalinjit Singh, Williamjit Singh, Gagandeep Kaur
- Jagdish completed Giani education, taught highschool mathematics, was based in Yamunanagar, Haryana, and passed away in 2004.
Pritam and Surinder raised four children (in chronological order):
- Navneet (Gugloo) Singh; Spouse: Neena Kaur (nee Rennu); Offspring: Karn Singh
- Navneet was born at Jamshedpur on October 27, 1964. As a youth, Navneet was an avid singer and came to be known as "Jagjit Singh." He is a petroleum technologist. His job takes him to all corners of the world, including Russia, the Middle East, and the Arctic.
Karn was born at Toronto on November 10, 1995.
- Amrita (Maanu) Kaur; Spouse: Harpreet Singh; Offspring: Amitoj Singh and Akrita Kaur
- Amrita was born at Jamshedpur on November 7, 1966. She holds a degree in architecture.
Harpreet was born on July 18, 1961. He was educated at I.I.T. (Bombay) and I.I.M. (Ahmedabad). He serves with the Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S.) as secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. Previously, he was secretary to the vigilance commissioner. Harpreet and Manpreet were born to Sujan Singh and Harbhajan Kaur. Manpreet is married to Sheena. They have two daughters, Ishmeet and Sajneet. Sheena was born to Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Singh.
Amitoj was born at Bombay on December 1, 1998.
Akrita was born at Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on July 16, 2001.
- Sumeet (Boney) Singh; Spouse: Naveet (Teena) Kaur (nee Narula); Offspring: Josh Singh
- Sumeet was born at Karaikal, Pondicherry on May 25, 1969. He holds an M.B.A. and is an I.T. specialist employed with the mayor's office at the The City of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
Naveet was born on October 31, 1979. She is pursuing the Certified General Accountant (C.G.A.) designation and is currently employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Josh was born at Calgary on Canada Day, July 1, 2005. Josh is a Punjabi/Hindi word meaning zest.
